How many items can I put in a Sorter crate and how many crates can I have on a Sorter?

Items in a single crate = A few thousand, but to prevent problems we have a limit of 1,500 per crate. Your sorter will stop sorting / making new crates at or above that amount. See the Sorter manual, Inventory Management section for more information.
Crates on a Sorter: 256 is the linked object maximum in SL meaning you can have 253 crates on your Sorter (253 plus the 3 top prims equals 256, the SL max), but that many crates may slow down sorting and cause communication issues resulting in problems. Therefore, we have a limit of 150 prims per Sorter (about 147 crates). Your Sorter will stop making new crates if you are at or exceeding this number.
